About Yucca Valley town, California

Yucca Valley is a town in the Mojave Desert of California. It is located in San Bernardino County, about 30 miles east of Twentynine Palms. The population was 20,700 at the 2010 census.

The area around Yucca Valley was first inhabited by Native Americans of the Mohave tribe. The first European settlers were miners who came to the area in the 1850s in search of gold. The town was later founded in 1906 by homesteaders.

Today, Yucca Valley is a popular destination for tourists and outdoor enthusiasts. The town is home to Joshua Tree National Park, as well as several other national parks and monuments. There are also many hiking and camping opportunities in the area.
