Old Station is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lassen County, California, United States. The population was 55 at the 2010 census, down from 74 at the 2000 census.

The Old Station post office opened in 1873, moved in 1874, and closed in 1943. The community was named for its location near an early stagecoach station.

Geography

Old Station is located in southern Lassen County, in the southeast part of the state. It is bordered to the east by Janesville, to the south by Shingletown, and to the west by Viola. U.S. Route 44 passes through the center of Old Station, leading northeast 8mi to Susanville, the county seat, and southwest 15mi to Redding.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Old Station has a total area of 6.8sqkm, all of it land.
