Mountain Meadows is a census-designated place (CDP) in Shasta County, California, United States. The population was 1,323 at the 2010 census, up from 1,208 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Redding Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Mountain Meadows is located in southwestern Shasta County at 40°26′32″N 122°18′42″W / 40.44222°N 122.31167°W / 40.44222; -122.31167 (40.442277, -122.311693). It is bordered to the northwest by the city of Redding, to the northeast by Summit City, and to the south by Bella Vista. Interstate 5 passes through Mountain Meadows, with access from Exit 653. I-5 leads northeast 50 miles (80 km) to Red Bluff and southwest 164 miles (264 km) to Yreka.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.3 square miles (6.0 km2), all of it land.
