Robinson Mill is a census-designated place (CDP) in El Dorado County, California, United States. The population was 1,863 at the 2010 census, up from 1,097 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The area now known as Robinson Mill was first settled by James Robinson and his family in 1849. The mill was destroyed by flood in 1862, but rebuilt and continued to operate until the early 20th century.
In recent years, Robinson Mill has become a bedroom community for the nearby city of Folsom. Many residents commute to work in Sacramento or the Bay Area. There are also a number of small businesses and light industrial companies located in the CDP.
