About Coyote Valley Reservation, California
The Coyote Valley Reservation is located in California’s Central Valley, northeast of San Jose. The reservation covers nearly 8,000 acres of land and is home to the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band.
The Amah Mutsun Tribe has lived in the Coyote Valley for thousands of years. The tribe’s traditional territory once stretched from the San Francisco Bay area to the Santa Cruz Mountains. In 1846, the tribe was forcibly removed from their land and relocated to the Coyote Valley Reservation.
