Cedarville CDP, California is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lassen County, California, United States. The population was 1,285 at the 2010 census, up from 1,247 at the 2000 census. It is located 16mi northeast of Susanville, at an elevation of 4116 feet (1256 m).
The town of Cedarville was established in 1851 and was originally known as Mud Springs. It was later renamed after the abundance of cedar trees in the area. Cedarville is home to the Cedarville Rancheria of Northern Paiute Indians.
The town has a number of historic buildings, including the old schoolhouse and the courthouse. The Lassen County Museum is also located in Cedarville.
