Clayton city is located in the east side of Contra Costa County, California. The city was founded in 1857 by Joel Henry Clayton and it was originally named Claytonville. The name was later changed to Clayton in honor of Joel Henry Clayton. The city is home to a variety of businesses and industries, including a number of restaurants, retail stores, and service providers. Clayton is also home to a number of parks and recreational facilities, making it a great place to live, work, and play.
