La Selva Beach is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Cruz County, California, United States. The population was 1,642 at the 2010 census. La Selva Beach is located on the coast of the Monterey Bay, south of Aptos and north of Watsonville. It is part of the Monterey Bay Area.

La Selva beach was originally part of the Rancho La Laguna land grant made to Rafael Castro in 1833. In the late 19th century, the area now known as La Selva Beach was developed as a summer resort by Mrs. Sarah Winchester, heiress to the Winchester Arms fortune. Mrs. Winchester built a number of cottages in the area, some of which are still standing today.

In the early 20th century, La Selva Beach became a popular spot for Hollywood celebrities to vacation. Notable figures such as Charlie Chaplin, Clark Gable, and Carole Lombard were known to visit the area.

Today, La Selva Beach is a quiet community with a population of just over 1,600 people. The town is home to a number of small businesses, including several restaurants and shops. The beaches here are popular with surfers and there is also a golf course and tennis club in town.
