The Agua Caliente Indian Reservation is located in southern California, near Palm Springs. The reservation is home to the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, and covers approximately 31,610 acres of land. The Agua Caliente Indian Reservation is adjacent to several other Indian reservations, including the Cabazon Indian Reservation and the Morongo Indian Reservation.
The Agua Caliente Indian Reservation was established in 1876, and is one of the oldest Indian reservations in California. The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is a federally recognized tribe, and has a current population of about 500 members. The tribe is governed by a Tribal Council, which is elected by the tribal members. The Tribal Council consists of a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Treasurer, and Secretary. The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is headquartered in Palm Springs, California.
The Agua Caliente Indian Reservation is home to several businesses, including the Agua Caliente Casino Resort & Spa, the Indian Canyons Golf Resort, and the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum. The Agua Caliente Casino Resort & Spa is owned and operated by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, and features a hotel, casino, spa, and golf course. The Indian Canyons Golf Resort is also owned and operated by the tribe, and features three 18-hole golf courses. The Agua Caliente Cultural Museum is a tribally-owned museum that features exhibits on the history and culture of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians.
