Fort Hunter Liggett is a census-designated place (CDP) in Monterey County, California, United States. The population was 2,468 at the 2010 census, up from 2,453 at the 2000 census. It is the primary population center for the Fort Hunter Liggett Military Reservation.

The Fort Hunter Liggett CDP includes the unincorporated community of Jolon. Jolon was the site of a large Spanish mission establishment, Mission San Antonio de Padua, founded in 1771. It was the headquarters of Rancho El Alisal, one of the largest ranchos in California. Fort Hunter Liggett is named after General Robert P. Hunter who served as Secretary of War from 1857 to 1861.
