North Lakeport CDP, California is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County, California, United States. The population was 3,722 at the 2010 census, up from 3,323 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Lake County.
The town of Lakeport was originally established as a simple stagecoach stop in the 1850s. However, with the discovery of gold in the nearby hills, the town quickly grew into a thriving community. North Lakeport is the commercial and governmental center of Lake County, with a variety of shops and businesses, as well as the county courthouse.
Despite its relatively small size, North Lakeport is a vibrant and lively community. There is always something going on, whether it’s a farmers market or a concert in the park. The people are friendly and welcoming, and there’s a strong sense of community here. I’m proud to call North Lakeport my home.
