The Santa Rosa Valley is a census-designated place (CDP) in Ventura County, California, United States. The population was 13,663 at the 2010 census, up from 10,908 at the 2000 census. It is the home of California State University Channel Islands.
The Santa Rosa Valley is located at 34°19′58″N 119°3′48″W (34.332769, -119.063324).[2] According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 10.8 square miles (28 km2), all of it land.
The 2010 United States Census[3] reported that Santa Rosa Valley had a population of 13,663. The racial makeup of Santa Rosa Valley was 11,577 (84.4%) White, 310 (2.3%) African American, 94 (0.7%) Native American, 1,377 (10.1%) Asian, 20 (0.1%) Pacific Islander, 283 (2.1%) from other races, and 586 (4.3%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1,216 persons (8.9%).
