About Mount Hebron CDP, California
Mount Hebron is a census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 2,193 at the 2010 census, up from 1,903 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Coachella Valley and includes the communities of Mountain Center and Garner Valley.
The area around Mount Hebron was inhabited by the Cahuilla people for centuries before being settled by ranchers in the late 19th century. The community takes its name from Mount Hebron Church, which was established in 1884.
Mount Hebron is located in the San Jacinto Mountains, east of Idyllwild and Pine Cove. It is bordered to the north by Mountain Center and to the south by Garner Valley.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.6 square miles (17 km2), all of it land.
