Lake Riverside is a census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 3,871 at the 2010 census, up from 3,317 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Temecula–Murrieta Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Lake Riverside Estates is a private gated community within the CDP.
Geography
Lake Riverside is located in northwestern Riverside County at (33.642292, -116.917785), in the San Jacinto Mountains. It is bordered to the east by Hemet, to the south by Garner Valley, and to the west and north by unincorporated area. State Route 74 (Florida Avenue) runs through the center of the community, leading southeast 20mi to Perris and northwest 27mi to Mountain Center near Idyllwild-Pine Cove.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 12.3sqkm, of which 0.05sqkm, or 0.41%, are water.
