Alhambra is a city located in the western San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County, California, United States, about 8 miles (13 km) from downtown Los Angeles. It was incorporated on July 11, 1903. As of the 2010 census, the population was 83,089. The city’s ZIP codes are 91801 and 91803.
Alhambra is bordered by South Pasadena on the northwest, San Marino on the north, San Gabriel on the east, Rosemead on the south, and Monterey Park on the west. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.6 square miles (19.7 km2), all land.
Alhambra is served by the Alhambra Unified School District which includes nine elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools, and one adult school. The district also includes Alhambra High School which is consistently ranked as one of the top high schools in California and in the nation.
