Richfield is a census-designated place in Fresno County, California. The population was 10,433 at the 2010 census. Richfield is located on the east side of Fresno, near the Sierra Nevada foothills.
Richfield was founded in the late 19th century as a stop on the Central Pacific Railroad. The town grew rapidly in the early 20th century, and by the 1950s it had a population of over 10,000. Today, Richfield is a bedroom community for Fresno and a popular destination for outdoor recreation.
