Knights Ferry CDP is a census-designated place in Stanislaus County, California, United States. The population was 1,668 at the 2010 census, up from 1,423 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Modesto Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The town is located on the Stanislaus River, about 40 miles (64 km) east of Modesto. It is home to a covered bridge, which was built in 1857 and is one of only two remaining in California.

Knights Ferry was founded in 1848 by Dr. William Knight and his son James, who built a sawmill and gristmill on the Stanislaus River. In 1849, they erected a covered bridge across the river, which was destroyed by floods in 1861 and 1865. The current bridge was built in 1867 and is the oldest surviving covered bridge in California.
