Manhattan Beach features 2.1 miles of ocean frontage and 3 miles of beachfront property. There are several municipal parks in the city including Polliwog Park, Live Oak Park, and Marine Avenue Park. The city also has a public pier, the Manhattan Beach Pier, which is popular for fishing, surfing, and whale watching.
