About Round Valley Reservation, California

Round Valley Reservation is a Native American reservation located in northeastern California. The land was originally inhabited by the Konkow Maidu people and was set aside as a reservation in 1856. Today, the reservation is home to approximately 1,200 residents, most of whom are members of the Round Valley Indian Tribes.

The reservation is located in a remote, rural area and is surrounded by mountains. Despite its isolation, the reservation has been able to maintain a strong sense of community. Residents have access to a variety of services, including a health clinic, a K-8 school, and a tribal college. The tribe also operates its own police and fire departments.

Economic development has been a challenge on the reservation. However, the tribe has been able to create some successful businesses, including a casino and a cattle ranch. These businesses have helped to create jobs and generate revenue for the tribe.
