Greeley Hill CDP is a census-designated place in Mariposa County, California. It is located near the city of Mariposa, and its population was 1,693 at the 2010 census.

The area around Greeley Hill was originally inhabited by the Miwok people. In 1849, during the California Gold Rush, miners began to settle in the area. A post office was established in 1851, and the town was named after Horace Greeley, a newspaper editor who advocated for westward expansion.

Greeley Hill remained a small mining town throughout the 19th century. However, in the early 20th century, the town began to grow rapidly due to the construction of the Sierra Railroad. The railroad brought tourists and new residents to Greeley Hill, and the town soon became a popular summer destination.

Today, Greeley Hill is a quiet community surrounded by natural beauty. Its close proximity to Yosemite National Park makes it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
