Edna CDP, California is a census-designated place (CDP) in Monterey County, California, United States. The population was 3,007 at the 2010 census. Edna is located on U.S. Route 101, 6 miles (9.7 km) south-southeast of King City.
Edna was established as a station on the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1886 and was named for Edna Mayfield, the daughter of a local rancher. A post office opened in 1887. The Edna Improvement Club was formed in 1903 to promote the town’s development.
The 2010 United States Census reported that Edna CDP had a population of 3,007. The racial makeup of Edna CDP was 1,962 (65.1%) White, 24 (0.8%) African American, 40 (1.3%) Native American, 54 (1.8%) Asian, 8 (0.3%) Pacific Islander, 751 (24.9%) from other races, and 182 (6.0%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1,585 persons (52.7%).
