The Quincy CDP is a census-designated place in Plumas County, California. The population was 2,890 at the 2010 census. Quincy is the county seat of Plumas County.

The town of Quincy is located in the western Sierra Nevada, approximately 35 miles east of Chico. Quincy has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. The average annual precipitation is 24 inches (610 mm).

Quincy was founded in 1852 as a mining town and was named after the city of Quincy, Illinois. The first quartz mill in Plumas County was built in Quincy in 1855. The town served as the county seat from 1854 to 1866, when the county seat was moved to Greenville.

Quincy is home to several historical buildings, including the Plumas County Courthouse, which was built in 1864 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Other notable buildings include the White House Saloon, which was built in 1862, and the Hotel Diamond, which was built in 1854.
