Littlerock CDP, California is a census-designated place located in the Antelope Valley region of Los Angeles County. The population was 1,377 at the 2010 census.
Littlerock is located approximately 13 miles (21 km) southeast of Palmdale, and about 33 miles (53 km) north of the Los Angeles city limits. It is home to the Littlerock Creek Reservoir, which provides drinking water for the Antelope Valley region.
The area around Littlerock Creek was first settled by Native Americans who used the creek for irrigation. The first European settlers arrived in the late 1800s, and the community was called “Antelope Valley” until the post office was established in 1902 and the name was changed to “Littlerock.”
Farming has been the primary industry in Littlerock since its founding, and the area is still home to many farms and ranches. The community is also home to several businesses, including a grocery store, a hardware store, and a gas station.
Littlerock is a small community with a close-knit feeling. Residents are friendly and welcoming, and there is a strong sense of pride in the community.
