West Point CDP is a census-designated place in California. It is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills, northeast of Sacramento. The population was 2,324 at the 2010 census.
The community is named after the nearby West Point Mine, which was worked for gold during the 1850s. A post office opened in 1856.
