Mono Vista is a census-designated place (CDP) in Mono County, California, United States. The population was 1,040 at the 2010 census, up from 865 at the 2000 census. It is located on the east side of the Sierra Nevada near the junction of U.S. Route 395 and California State Route 120.
The Mono Vista CDP has a total area of 10.8 square miles (28 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 865 people, 358 households, and 232 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 80.2 people per square mile (31.0/km2). There were 459 housing units at an average density of 42.6 per square mile (16.5/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 83.71% White, 0.23% African American, 4.60% Native American, 0.46% Asian, 0.35% Pacific Islander, 5.75% from other races, and 4.60% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 12.62% of the population
