Sultana is a census-designated place (CDP) in Tulare County, California, United States. The population was 4,037 at the 2010 census. Sultana is located on the outskirts of the city of Dinuba, 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Visalia.

The community was founded in 1892 by M. E. Ingalls and H. D. Sultana. It was originally called “Sultana Colony” and later just “Sultana”. The name comes from the fact that it was originally a raisin-growing community.

Sultana has a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and cool winters. The average January temperature is 54.4 degrees Fahrenheit (12.4 degrees Celsius), and the average July temperature is 89.8 degrees Fahrenheit (32.1 degrees Celsius).

Sultana is a great place to live for those who want to be close to the amenities of a city but still have that small town feel. It’s also a great place for raisin lovers!
