Coleville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Mono County, California, United States. The population was 1,255 at the 2010 census, up from 1,135 at the 2000 census. Coleville is located on the west side of Bridgeport Valley, 7mi north of Bridgeport.
The Coleville post office opened in 1864, closed in 1867, reopened in 1868, and moved to its present location in 1869.
Coleville was named after early settler Cyrus G. Cole.
