About Arden-Arcade CDP, California
Arden-Arcade is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sacramento County, California, United States. The population was 92,186 at the 2010 census. It is east of the city of Sacramento and west of the Sierra Nevada foothills.
The area was originally part of the Rancho San Juan Mexican land grant. In the 1910s, the Arden Land Company developed the area as an agricultural and residential community. The Arcade Shopping Center, Sacramento’s first shopping center, opened in 1929. The area continued to develop as a suburban residential community after World War II.
