Nubieber is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lassen County, California, United States. The population was 201 at the 2010 census, up from 143 at the 2000 census. Nubieber is located along U.S. Route 395 15 miles (24 km) north of Bieber.
Nubieber was founded in 1864 as a stagecoach stop on the route between Reno and Susanville. It was originally known as “Noble’s Station”, after James Noble, the stationmaster. The name was later changed to “Nubieber” by the post office, which thought that “Noble’s Station” was too long for a postmark. Nubieber CDP has a total area of 10.8 square miles (28 km2), all land.
