Fresno County, California is a county located in the central San Joaquin Valley of the U.S. state of California. As of the 2010 census, the population was 930,450. The county seat is Fresno, the fifth-largest city in California. Fresno County comprises the Fresno, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is part of the Fresno-Madera, CA Combined Statistical Area. It is located in north-central California and covers a large area of the San Joaquin Valley.

The county is a major agricultural center, with many large farms and ranches. Crops grown in the county include grapes, almonds, cotton, tomatoes, and oranges. The county is also home to many dairies and livestock operations.

Fresno County is home to two national parks, Yosemite National Park and Kings Canyon National Park. The county also contains Sequoia National Forest, Sierra National Forest, and Giant Sequoia National Monument.
