Almanor CDP, California is a census-designated place in Plumas County, California, United States. The population was 2,032 at the 2010 census, up from 1,95 at the 2000 census.

Almanor is located on the north shore of Lake Almanor, in the southern end of the county. It is bordered to the south by Chester CDP and to the west by Lake Almanor West CDP. Highway 36 runs through the center of town, leading east 16mi to Susanville, the county seat, and west 42mi to Red Bluff. According to the United States Census Bureau, Almanor CDP has a total area of 12.0sqmi, of which 11.9sqmi are land and 0.1sqmi (0.85%) are water.”””
