About Bay Point CDP, California

Bay Point is a census-designated place (CDP) in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 21,349 at the 2010 census.

Bay Point is located on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay. The city of Pittsburg adjoins Bay Point. The delta of the Suisun Bay forms the northern boundary. The western edge of Bay Point is defined by the Sacramento River. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 7.4 square miles (19 km2), all of it land.

The 2010 United States Census reported that Bay Point had a population of 21,349. The racial makeup of Bay Point was 10,365 (48.5%) White, 3,071 (14.4%) African American, 515 (2.4%) Native American, 2,582 (12.1%) Asian, 164 (0.8%) Pacific Islander, 2,350 (11.0%) from other races, and 1,242 (5.8%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6,041 persons (28.3%).
