About Butte Meadows CDP, California

Butte Meadows is a census-designated place in Plumas County, California, United States. The population was 85 at the 2010 census. It is located on the North Fork of the Feather River near Lake Almanor.

Butte Meadows was originally settled by miners during the California Gold Rush. The town was later destroyed by a fire in 1851. It was rebuilt and flourished as a resort community for many years. Today, Butte Meadows is a quiet community with a population of less than 100 people.
