About Creston CDP, California

Creston is a census-designated place in San Luis Obispo County, California, United States. The population was 1,593 at the 2010 census, up from 1,285 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Paso Robles Wine Country and located on State Route 46 west of Paso Robles.

Creston was established as a stop on the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1886. The town was named after one of the railroad surveyors. Creston is home to many vineyards and wineries. The area is also known for its olive groves.
