Darwin is a census-designated place (CDP) in Inyo County, California, United States. The population was 28 at the 2010 census, up from 19 at the 2000 census.

Darwin is located at 37°13′N 118°34′W / 37.217°N 118.567°W / 37.217; -118.567, in the Owens Valley between the Sierra Nevada and the White Mountains. It is on State Route 190, 14 miles (23 km) southwest of Keeler, at an elevation of 4,036 feet (1,232 m).

The Darwin CDP has a total area of 1.8 square miles (4.7 km2), all land.
