Dunsmuir city is located in Siskiyou County, in the northern part of California. The city has a population of about 1,700 people. Dunsmuir city was founded in 1887 and was named after the Dunsmuir family, who were Scottish immigrants. The city is located on the Sacramento River, and is known for its beautiful scenery and its many outdoor activities.
