Farmington CDP, California is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Joaquin County, California, United States. The population was 8,384 at the 2010 census.

Farmington was originally a farming community that was founded in the 1850s. The town grew rapidly during the California Gold Rush and became a stop on the Pony Express. Today, Farmington is a bedroom community for Stockton and Lodi. The town is home to several parks and a golf course.
