Graton is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sonoma County, California, United States. The population was 1,707 at the 2010 census.

Graton is located on the western edge of Sonoma County, about 10 miles (16 km) west of Santa Rosa and 50 miles (80 km) north of San Francisco. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2), all of it land.

The town was founded in 1867 by European settlers who were attracted to the area by the logging industry. The town’s name comes from the fact that it was originally part of the Rancho Graton Mexican land grant.

In recent years, Graton has become a popular destination for wine tourists due to its proximity to several well-known wineries in the region. The town is also home to a number of art galleries, restaurants, and shops.
