Hanford is a city located in California’s San Joaquin Valley. The city has a population of just over 55,000 people and is the county seat of Kings County. Hanford was founded in 1876 and was named after James J. Hanford, who owned the land on which the city was built. Hanford is also a popular tourist destination, due to its proximity to Yosemite National Park and other attractions.
