Hidden Valley Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County, California, United States. It is located on the west shore of Hidden Valley Lake, about 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Middletown. It has a population of 1,743 as of the 2010 census.
The community began in the late 1960s as a retirement community. It has since become a bedroom community for workers in Napa and Sonoma counties. The median age of residents is 55 years.
The CDP has a total area of 4.6 square miles (12 km2), all of it land.
