About Hyampom CDP, California

Hyampom is a census-designated place (CDP) in Trinity County, California, United States. The population was 1,028 at the 2010 census, up from 992 at the 2000 census. It is home to the Hyampom General Store and post office.

Hyampom is located at 40°28′48″N 123°48′12″W / 40.48000°N 123.80333°W / 40.48000; -123.80333 (40.479969, -123.803295), along State Route 3 northeast of Hayfork. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 15.0 square miles (39 km2), all of it land.

The 2010 United States Census reported that Hyampom had a population of 1,028. The racial makeup of Hyampom was 930 (90.5%) White, 1 (0.1%) African American, 23 (2.2%) Native American, 0 (0.0%) Asian, 0 (0.0%) Pacific Islander, 24 (2.3%) from other races, and 50 (4.9%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 73 persons (7.1%).
