About Hypericum CDP, California

Hypericum CDP, California is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 2,871 at the 2010 census, up from 2,617 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Victor Valley region of the Mojave Desert.

The area was originally settled by ranchers in the late 19th century. The community was known as “Hay Fever Flat” due to the large amount of dust in the air. The name was later changed to Hypericum, after the plant that grows in the area.

The economy of Hypericum CDP is based on agriculture and tourism. The area is home to several farms and ranches, as well as a number of tourist attractions. These include the Joshua Tree National Park, the Mojave National Preserve, and the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Base.
