Lake Almanor West CDP, California is a census-designated place (CDP) in Plumas County, California, United States. The population was 1,759 at the 2010 census, up from 1,620 at the 2000 census.

The Lake Almanor West CDP includes the unincorporated community of Lake Almanor Peninsula, which lies on the east shore of Lake Almanor. The CDP also includes the unincorporated community of Hamilton Branch, located on the west shore of the lake.

The Lake Almanor West CDP is located at 40°25′27″N 121°12′6″W (40.424167, -121.201667).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 8.4 square miles (21 km2), of which 8.3 square miles (22 km2) is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2), or 1.57%, is water.
