About Lemon Cove CDP, California

Lemon Cove is a census-designated place (CDP) in Tulare County, California, United States. The population was 1,980 at the 2010 census, up from 1,817 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Visalia metropolitan statistical area.

The town takes its name from a former lemon orchard that was located there.

Lemon Cove is located in southern Tulare County at 36°18′37″N 119°22′52″W / 36.31028°N 119.38111°W / 36.31028; -119.38111 (36.310324, -119.381125). It is bordered to the north by Woodlake, to the east by Pixley, to the south by Terra Bella, and to the west by Strathmore. State Route 198 passes through Lemon Cove, leading northeast 15 miles (24 km) to Visalia, the county seat, and southwest 28 miles (45 km) to Porterville.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km2), all of it land.
