Manton is a census-designated place (CDP) in Shasta County, California, United States. The population was 1,856 at the 2010 census, up from 1,741 at the 2000 census.

Manton is located at 40°23′59″N 122°14′40″W / 40.39972°N 122.24444°W / 40.39972; -122.24444 (40.399686, -122.244455), in the northwest corner of the county. It is bordered to the north by Tehama County and to the west by Plumas County.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 10.2 square miles (26.4 km2), of which 10.1 square miles (26.1 km2) are land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), or 0.43%, are water.
