About Monrovia city, California

Monrovia city is located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in Los Angeles County, California. The city has a population of about 36,000 people and covers an area of about 12 square miles. Monrovia was founded in 1887 by two men from Kentucky, and was named after the Kentucky town where they grew up. The city is known for its quaint downtown area with its many shops and restaurants. It is also home to the Monrovia Historical Museum, which chronicles the history of the city.
