The city of Nevada City is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California, about 60 miles northeast of Sacramento. The town is a popular tourist destination for its Gold Rush history and its Victorian-style architecture. The city also hosts a number of annual events, including the Nevada City Film Festival and the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival.
