About Orcutt CDP, California

Orcutt is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Barbara County, California, United States. The population was 8,929 at the 2010 census, up from 6,716 at the 2000 census. It is named for William Warren Orcutt, former president and general manager of the Union Oil Company.

Orcutt is an unincorporated community and part of the Orcutt Union School District. The nearest incorporated city is Santa Maria, which is approximately 5 miles (8 km) to the northeast.

Orcutt is home to several wineries including Tepusquet Vineyards and Cottonwood Canyon Winery.
