About Pine Canyon CDP, California
Pine Canyon CDP is a census-designated place located in San Bernardino County, California. As of the 2010 census, the population was 1,873. The community is located in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, east of the city of San Bernardino.
The area now known as Pine Canyon CDP was originally inhabited by the Serrano people. The first European settlers to the area were ranchers who established ranches in the canyon in the late 19th century. The canyon was named for the abundance of pine trees that grew there.
In recent years, Pine Canyon CDP has seen a population boom as more people have moved to the area to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and outdoor recreation opportunities. The area is home to several hiking trails and is a popular destination for camping and picnicking.
