Rancho Tehama Reserve is a census-designated place (CDP) in Tehama County, California, United States. The population was 1,209 at the 2010 census, up from 945 at the 2000 census. It is located along State Route 36 west of Red Bluff.

The town of Rancho Tehama Reserve was founded in 1856 by Mexican settlers who were granted land by the Mexican government. The town was later taken over by American settlers during the California Gold Rush. Today, Rancho Tehama Reserve is a small community with a population of just over 1,200 people.
